Terms & Conditions

These terms govern access to Edwards County Released Inmates. Using the site means you accept them. If you do not agree with every condition, stop using the site.

This is a privately owned reference site with no affiliation to Edwards County, a sheriff, jail, court, corrections department, or other government body. Neither this site nor its advertising partners offers FCRA-covered credit, employment, insurance, or tenant-screening services. We are not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

Nature of the Service

The site organizes links and explanatory material for Edwards County and Kansas jail, release, court, corrections, and supervision resources. It stores no official government records. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, file a request, or act for a public agency. Some pages also connect visitors with independently operated research tools.

Acceptable Use Rules

You agree to use the site lawfully and without harming people or systems. In particular, you must not:

  • Break any local, state, or federal law
  • Use information to stalk, harass, intimidate, or threaten anyone
  • Use content for hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another prohibited eligibility decision
  • Attempt access to accounts, servers, data, or features without permission
  • Operate bots, scrapers, or automated collection tools against the site
  • Interfere with service availability or another visitor’s use

No Consumer Reports

Edwards County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not provide background checks, credit reports, consumer reports, or screening services, and neither do its advertising partners through this site. You agree not to use information obtained here for:

  • Tenant selection, housing access, or lease decisions
  • Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance rates and eligibility
  • Licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility
  • Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA

Third-Party Links

Links may lead to sheriff and corrections sites, court and release portals, legal resources, federal locators, and independent search providers. We do not endorse or control those destinations and are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy, security, or handling of information. Review the destination’s terms before using it.

Service Provided As Is

The site and its content are offered “as is” and “as available.” To the extent allowed by law, we make no express or implied warranty that:

  • Content is complete, accurate, or current
  • Access will always be uninterrupted
  • The software will be free of errors, bugs, or security weaknesses
  • An outside partner will return complete search results

Custody status and public records change. Nothing published here is an official statement from the Edwards County Sheriff, KDOC, a court, or another agency.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent Kansas and applicable law permit, the site, its owners, contributors, and service providers are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from access, inability to access, reliance on content, or use of an outside link or tool.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the site, its owners, contributors, and providers from claims, losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees caused by your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights.

Ownership of Site Materials

Site text, graphics, logos, design elements, and code belong to Edwards County Released Inmates or the applicable content partner. You may not copy, publish, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit those materials without prior written permission, except where law expressly allows it.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these conditions at any time. A new version becomes effective when posted. Continued access after a revision means you accept the updated terms.

Access May Be Revoked

We may restrict, suspend, or end access at any time, with or without notice, including when we believe these conditions have been violated. Ending access does not erase duties that by their nature continue.

Kansas Governing Law

Kansas law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in Kansas.

If One Term Fails

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected provision will be limited or adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
